Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga includes five to six ‘easy’ positions lying down during each class. The use of props and blankets offer support so the body can relax into the poses.

The poses are are held longer to encourage the release of tension and stress while entering a deep, peaceful state. Guided breathwork to release tension gently activates the body’s natural healing system.

Yoga Nidra - 3rd Tuesday/month

Yoga nidra is a powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain.

While you rest comfortably in savasana (lying down), a guided meditation takes you through the five layers of self, leaving you replenished and whole.

Deeply relaxing and healing, this class is especially beneficial for sleep.

Classes are quiet and offered lying down.

Prepare for your class by creating a space where you won't be interrupted.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of class. No admittance after 7:33 pm respects the quietude of this class.

First Time?
Arrive 10 minutes early for your first class so the instructor has time to greet you.

  • Blankets to stay warm and cozy

  • Bolster or equivalent (rolled up thick blanket/towels for restorative yoga)

Meet your Instructor

Certified Meditation and Yoga Teacher Marian MacNeil

Marian completed her yoga teacher training in 2009 and started teaching at Veracis the same year. She is also a Certified Veracis® Meditation Teacher and has a B.Sc in Kinesiology. Although inspired by many styles of yoga, Marian is drawn to the softer approaches, such as gentle Hatha and restorative Yoga.
